Town & Country

Timberline Landscapes stands out in St. Louis and the surrounding area as a leader in sustainable landscape design and landscape renovations. There are several environmentally responsible elements that can be added to your home's landscape design that solve landscaping problems while responsibly using natural resources to enhance your landscape.

Natural and environmentally responsible design

Sustainable Landscape Design and Renovations:

  • Protect the environment by utilizing indigenous material to save on transport associated pollution and fuel costs.
  • Utilize native plant species which require less environmentally destructive herbicides and fertilizers.
  • Select plant material specifically for climate, site requirements, water needs, available space, food and shelter for wildlife.
  • Implement a carefully constructed design process that is essential to successful implementation of a sustainable landscape design.
  • Contain water quality measures and storm water control, including the use of rain gardens, vegetative swales, bio retention areas, and other methods instead of relying on municipal storm sewer systems. This allows the site to process pollutants naturally through filtration, protecting watersheds and waterways.

About our Design/Build Process

Timberline Landscapes is dedicated to making your experience with our team as hassle-free and substantive as possible. By keeping you involved in every phase of your project, Timberline makes sure that your landscape is perfectly suited to your tastes and desires.

The First Meeting
A Timberline Designer will meet with you at your property to discuss your goals for your project in depth. Conducting a thorough walk-through while going over your goals and the possibilities and issues of your property ensures that your Designer gets the feel for your property and your stylistic influences, and gives you a chance to become familiar with our company and our process.

The Design Agreement and Preliminary Budget
After you and your Landscape Designer reach an understanding of your intentions and we provide a verbal budget estimate based on your vision for your property, youÕll sign a Design Agreement - a contract with Timberline to complete and present you with a plan for your property. The Design Agreement outlines what your landscape plan will include, what weÕll design and what documents weÕll produce for you.

The Design
Using the latest in Computer-Aided Design software, weÕll present you with a basic master plan for your landscape, outlining our DesignerÕs vision for your property and preliminary plant choices. After going over the plan in person, your designer will work with you to refine the plant selections and hardscape details of your project before presenting you with a color-rendered final master plan.

The Proposal
The proposal is the outline for your new landscape, providing construction specifications and details of materials, color photos of plants, and the investment costs of the project. When the proposal is signed, your project is immediately placed in our schedule.

The Construction
Once the agreement is signed, weÕll put you on our schedule and begin ordering material, lining up logistics for your job, and working with our numerous local vendors to source premium plant and hardscape material. We make sure we have all the material for your job on hand or en route before we begin construction, as it makes the building process more efficient and less prone to delays.

The Final Walk-Through
We will always conduct regular site visits throughout the duration of your project, and upon completion of your project, your Landscape Designer or Team Leader will walk you through every aspect of your new landscape to make sure youÕre pleased with the outcome and to give you general care and maintenance tips for your new landscape.
