A Rocky Mountain Getaway at Home
Timberline partnered with a client who wanted a Coloradoesque look for their landscape. In order to create this custom design, we used plants such as foxtail spruce, weeping norway spruce, paperbark maple, several types of cypress and numerous perennials. To add movement and interesting lines in the landscape, we contoured the soil to provide different height elevations. Flagstone walkways, granite boulders and old St. Louis street cobblestones were added at various points in throughout the landscape to add to this rocky mountain look. As a finishing touch, Timberline installed a backyard water feature, next to the patio, complete with water lilies and colorful Koi fish to provide the ultimate relaxation zone.

Gardening Tip
  • June is still a great time to add perennials or annuals to beautify your landscape and increase the value of your home!

  • Don'€™t forget to keep your landscape watered as the temperatures rise this summer. It is best to water deeply once each week if there is a week without any rain. Your landscape needs approximately one inch of water per week.

  • Now is the time to fertilize your plants for maximum growth and bloom potential.

Timberline Fun Fact
Thankfully we haven'€™t reached 105 degrees yet. That'€™s the highest temperature on record for June in St. Louis which happened in 1954!
