August Watering Quick Tips

Watering the grass Don’t forget to water your landscape as the temperatures continue to soar this month! The following tips are a quick reminder of the steps needed to keep you landscape and investment healthy:
  • Check all plants weekly. Check newly planted trees and shrubs every few days for the first few months. Be sure the soil is moist at 3-4 inches deep for small plants and 6-8 inches for large plants.
  • Slow, deep watering is preferred at the base of the plant for 5-10 minutes for small plants- a little longer for large plants
  • When the soil feels moist, do not water.
  • Monitoring water requirements frequently is more important than watering frequently for at least the first two or three years.

A Timberline Shout-Out

It’s always nice to hear from you about a Timberline job. Here’s a great client’s testimony we received about a recently completed job:
Hi Brian,

Kudos to you and all the team at Timberline for transforming our overgrown, outdated landscaping front, side and back yards! We were so pleased with all the steps along the way: from planning (selecting trees/bushes/flowers/grass), demolition (out with the old!), planting (fertilizing/mulching), and follow-up. The yard looks amazing and has been easy to maintain thanks to your support and continued consultation with us (no green thumbs here!). The addition this summer of landscape lighting has rendered the gardens beautiful both day and night. Thanks to all your staff for their professionalism. You have all been so easy to work with and we look forward to continuing to update our landscaping with your help in the years to come.

Thanks again!
