Budget-Friendly Landscape Makeovers

We know everybody's got their eye on the economy and we have some great ideas to maximize your landscaping dollar. First, avoid costly mistakes by hiring experts! You are more likely to save money in the long run by beginning with a well-crafted, custom, professional plan

Money Saving
Small Projects

Timberline's expert design and installation services begin with choosing native and perennial plant varieties suitable for your soil type. This reduces the need to purchase new annuals each year. Using species native to our region also reduces the amount of watering required.

Budget Friendly
Large Projects

Timberline's expert designers start by retaining your yard's existing assets, working to preserve mature plants in your new plan. Incorporating natural slopes instead of grading, and placing patios on existing flat spaces, helps reduce costs.

Improving Home Resale

Many homeowners have been waiting for the market to recover before they try to sell their home. Is this your year? If so, you need to include Timberline Landscapes in your marketing plan! We can enhance your home's curb appeal with seasonal color and a fresh, new look.

Curb Appeal is King...

As part of the 2010-11 Remodeling Cost vs. Value Report, REALTORS® recently rated exterior replacement projects among the most cost-effective home improvement projects.

for-sale-sign "Curb appeal remains king - it's the first thing potential buyers notice when looking for a home, and it also demonstrates pride of ownership," said National Association of REALTORS® President Ron Phipps.

According to Jonathan Guido, director of Landscape USA, "Landscaping not only can add as much as 14% to the resale value of a building, but it also speeds the sale of a building by as much as six weeks."

In this ultra-competitive market, make sure that potential buyers fall in love with your home while they are still in the car. Great curb appeal will invite buyers in, and Timberline Landscapes has expert designers that can work within your marketing budget to help get your home sold.

Timberline Gardening Tips
  • March is a good time to divide and transplant perennials, giving the plants more room to grow and aiding in overall health.

  • Prune spring flowering shrubs such as Forsythia, Roses and Lilacs. When pruning, a good rule is: Don't cut the plant back to more than 1/3 of its original size.

  • Monitor and remove any early popping weeds, either weekly or bi-weekly.

  • Early blooming perennials start to bloom in March. Plant them in containers, beds or with Spring annuals.
